Department of Chemistry is an old and big department of the College with nine faculty members. It runs UG and PG courses very successfully. It has been maintained excellent academic standard since opening. There are around 332 enrolments to the UG and PG courses for the academic year 2017-18. The department has an adequate infrastructure and ample learning resources. All laboratories are fully furnished with modern equipments. The department provides research facility to the UG, PG and Ph. D. students. It has FT-IR (Bruker Made) analysis facility. The department provides a few extension services to the society. So far, department has organized three national conferences. Department seeks research centre recognition very soon. At present, there is one research guide to the department and another one is waiting for University approval. Many research papers of faculty are published in reputed national and international journals. Dr. Kendre has been working as reviewer for SERB, India. Dr. Landge has been appointed as BOS member of Chemistry in North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon. The department has started mentor mentee system & conducted many outreach activities for the welfare of society.

The department maintains mutual understanding and healthy working environment. There is good participation of students in conferences and many of them have presented research papers. Department consistently organizes programs on the occasion of Birth Anniversaries of national leaders. The department celebrates World Environmental Day, Science Day, Energy Conservation Day and Teachers Day every year. The department has good record of students counseling and placement. The department has set up linkages with Krushi Vigyan Kendra Ambajogai, Cement factory, Parli-Vaijnath and School of Chemical Sciences SRTM University, Nanded.
