Department of Marathi was established in 1968. The Department offers Second Language and optional Subject. The renowned writer Shri. M.S. Joshi (Jamkar) shouldered the responsibilities as a Head of the Department. He Contributed in the field of Marathi literature & stood as a role model for the future generations. Then Mr. S.M. Parnaik was the HOD after his retirment, Mr. D.M. Kulkarni was the HOD. Prof. A.R. Chavan, Professor has been working as Head, Department of Marathi since 16/06/2006 and Dr. R.J. Chate, Associate Professor, has been working in the capacity since 15/01/2009.Both the faculty are the Research Guide in Marathi affiliated to Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad. Department’s faculty members are well known entity in several fields.
