The department of Political Science is established in June, 1968. Professor Dr. K.D. Boralkar was the Head of the Department & served the college for 27 years. Mr. D.K. Andhale is the present Head of the department. Department runs U.G. &P.G. courses. The students’ strength in the academic year 2017- 2018 both at UG & PG level is 212 and 47 respectively. The department is constantly serving to uplift the talent of students and their holistic development. Department has organized various activities including National Constitution Day, National Voters Day etc. Department is committed to create awareness about state, democracy, voting, good governance human rights, fundamentals rights, fundamental duties of Indian citizens etc . The department started Master degree M.A. in Political Science in June 2000.Mr. D.K. Andhale is working as from 1999 and joined as Head in 2004, Head of Department. He is working on various committees at college level.
